An E-commerce Manager is a professional who oversees an organisation’s online sales and presence. They are responsible for conveying a consistent brand throughout the organisation which attracts customers and encourages sales online.
E-commerce Managers often oversee a team of Website Designers and Software Engineers who can create an online transaction system and overall look of the site. Also, an E-commerce Manager will often work alongside a management team to determine the considerations of an organisation’s online presence. It is also important for the E-commerce Manager to have a strong understanding of web design software so that they can advise their team accordingly. Beyond this, E-commerce Managers will also need a strong understanding of web analytic software so that they can track the success of the site.
