One of the most challenging of all the developer manager jobs, Business Transformation Managers are responsible for driving forward system and data improvement initiatives on a variety of platforms.

The role of Business Transformation Manager requires individuals to take the lead on a wealth of business transformation activities, usually including the capture and documentation of existing workflows. They act as a point of reference between the IT department and the rest of the business, ensuring the smooth transition of any structural process changes that are implemented, to ensure the business is operating to the best of its abilities.

To be successful within this role, you will have proven experience of delivering change via transformation projects or through day-to-day operations within organisations. Usually, Business Transformation Managers have demonstrable experience in project management, as well as strong leadership and motivation skills. Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills are desired, and you should be able to approach problems logically, offering an appropriate balance of creativity and pragmatism, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and implement change. Working environments are often fast-paced, and an understanding of organisational dynamics is beneficial in recognising how decisions will affect different departments.
